Hyperion Art Journal: To explore the relation between art and life, The Nietzsche Circle developed Hyperion in order to provide a forum for the rigorous pursuit of aesthetics through offering writers the freedom to communicate in the most unharnessed manner, with the full breadth of their intelligence, outside the bind of any editorial restrictions or whatever other unwelcome impositions. It is our objective to produce serious thought, to offer criticism which is intelligent, insightful and exacting, criticism which meets the demands which art itself requires, for only through a rigorous examination of aesthetics will the enigma of art open itself to us. Through such criticism we seek to investigate art with intelligence and imagination, and, as Blanchot said, “To let the depth of the … work, that which resides therein, always more clearly and more obscurely, speak.”

Lurking Truth: Artistic policy: To arrest, fascinate and seduce audiences beyond the current fear of art which is not defined by tourism and utilitarian community celebration (of what, for whom, at whose behest?); to demonstrate the self-renewing immediacy of theatrical performance in which language is a promise written in the air and physicality is the ballet of manifested courage; to achieve a production style that is appropriate to the uniqueness of the play rather than to the reassuring familiarities of theatrical convention; to show how complexity can, in theatre as in other matters, actually be more enjoyable and exciting than predictability, and how theatre can be a living triumph of the artificial, which is what human beings do best. Founded by David Ian Rabey in 1986; based in Wales.

Object Collection: Founded in January 2004 when Kara Feely and Travis Just presented a concert of John Cage’s seminal theater and music composition, Song Books, at the Kunst-Station Sankt Peter in Cologne, Germany. This landmark work, that pairs experimental music and theater together within a single interdisciplinary performance, became an inspirational model for the genesis of the company. Object Collection puts these ideas into practice by presenting hybrid theater-music performances, which take the shape of large-scale projects, duo performances, and curated performance series. Based in New York City, the company collaborates with an increasing number of actors, musicians, composers, designers, and visual artists, actively combining techniques and methodologies from different mediums in order to generate new artistic work in uncharted forms.

Teatr Wiersazlin: Theatre group founded in 1991 by Piotr Tomaszuk, the director and the group of actors cooperating with him. The theatre is based in Supraśl, placed near Białystok. The fascination for the cultural heritage of borderlines of the European civilization has formed both distinctive aesthetics of this theatre and the weltanschauung perspective. Theatre’s nature is characteristic of its unusual simplicity, the spectacles full of music and vocals, wooden sculptures, forms and masks coexisting with living actors.

Troublyn: Troubleyn/Jan Fabre is a theatre company with extensive international operations. Its home base is Antwerp. The artist Jan Fabre has been its artistic head since it was established in 1986. Troubleyn/Jan Fabre is a non-profit organisation and currently has 10 full-time staff, 4 of them artistic. The name Troubleyn means “remaining faithful” and expresses the wish to work with like-minded people in confidence and in the long term.

The Wrestling School: The Wrestling School explores the dynamic between language and communication, performer and audience through the work of playwright Howard Barker, and works to develop new forms of expression for text based drama.
