Faced with covering non-arts-related South Jersey news for the first time in a 42-year career as an arts and culture writer, Philadelphia Inquirer theatre critic Howard Shapiro has decided instead to take a buy-out. According to this article published today by the American Theatre Critics Association, Shapiro will continue to cover Broadway for a group of mid-Atlantic NPR affiliate stations.
